Animation
Profound

These are some of the shots that I animated for the student film "Profound" (2019,Georgia Tobin). Maya was used as the primary animation software for the whole process. These shots underwent countless camera and action changes, teaching me to think on my feet and adapt to creative and technical changes as required for the project.
Rivals

These are some of the shots that I animated for the student film "Rivals" (2019,Grant Cordwell). Maya was used for the whole animation process however, unfortunately complete polish was not reached for some of these shots due to production issues. The longer shots in this sequence were great learning experiences for managing two characters on screen at a time. There is still much more I would like to improve upon in all of these shots however I feel confident in larger scale shots and scene management.
Jump and Swing

This was a two day exercise done at Gobelins, Paris, while on a study tour with QUT. While this is a simple animation, it was interesting seeing what was capable in such a small amount of time with our working days only being 4-6 hours. With two main contact points for the character as well as body swing, this exercise was great for better understanding Ik and FK workflows and combinations. We were lucky enough to have Marie Celaya as our mentor as she provided us with inspiring stories and valuable advice for our future in the industry.
Bodies In Motion

One of my first introductions to animation, providing the opportunity to explore gestural, structural and more detailed styles of 2D animation that I later found to be useful in 3D character animation workflows. The gestural style in particular has given me a solid grounding and understanding of overlap and appealing lines of action, most useful in the spline and in the polish steps in character animating.
